My entry for the 2011 Birthday Scribble contest! :la:
Featuring a tiny creature that's small enough to land on the anther of a flower. :)
The lines can be found in the wings and the circle in the anther that the creature is sitting on.

UPDATE: Even though I did not make the finalists or win, I put a lot into this and I don't plan on taking it down ever.

Method: Drawn from scratch in paint tool sai.

Thank you :)

I didn't win the contest I made it for, but I'm still glad I can say a put a lot into it and got a result I can be happy with.

No worries

The work definitely paid off, this is a beautiful piece of work with something special feeling about it. May it win contests within the hearts and minds of the viewers lucky enough to stumble upon it! :)

Ya'know, If you want to get better, you need to practice.
enough practice and observation will always make you better if you do it frequently enough.
Observe the way other artists do things, try to find people who post links to videos of their drawing process, explain how they construct things, or that post tutorials, though whatever you do, don't copy or trace(It doesn't really teach you anything, trust me)
That's how I got where I am now; From practice, dedication, getting as much knowledge as is possible without being bothersome from those more experienced than me, and drawing whenever I feel inspired by something, whether it be by somebody else's art or by a random idea.

Though there may be times where you are uncertain of yourself or discouraged, don't give up, don't stop trying, and don't be afriad to ask others for their knowledge.
Always be eager to learn from other artists; It's almost always very rewarding, and it'll sometimes help you understand how to do certian things.
you may ask one question, and not only get the answer to that question, but get what I call a branch of answers.
Take drawing fur, for example. let's say you ask an artist how to draw fur- they may point out that different animals have different fur textures(which they do) and then tell you their technique for pulling off each one with whatever medium they use.

Oh and, If you want a glittery-eyed smily, then type:*iconiloveyouplz: without the asterisk (*).
it looks like this :iconiloveyouplz:

I had a certain artist in mind to ask for advice actually. The tutorials do help, actually (thank you for recommending that), and I have been looking at different styles of the topics I'm determined to advance on. (Oh dear, so many great artist)Oh, but thank you for the advice and the awesome advance in smiley technology: :iconiloveyouplz: <- Win :meow:
